The main objectives of the Association are:

• to protect the professional and economic interests of its members;
• to explain and promote the fundamental principles of the investment process in Bulgaria and the emerging stock market;
• to make proposals to the competent state authorities for the introduction of new regulations and amendments to the legislation regulating the investment process and the stock market, for the establishment in accordance with the relevant legal procedures rules protecting the investors in Bulgaria and the rights of the members of the Association; 
• to contribute for the regulation of professional and ethical relations between the licensed investment intermediaries that members of the organization fro the purpose of promoting the good reputation  of the Association and its members;
• to contribute for the enhancement of the professional qualification of its members;
• to contribute for the generation and dissemination of information  related to the problems of the investment process and the stock market.

The Association achieves its objectives by means of:

• interaction with the Financial Supervision Commission and the other competent state authorities, public organizations and other non-profit associations;
• providing opinions on draft laws, regulatory acts, instructions and other acts in the field of the investment process and the stock market;
• preparation, publication and dissemination without charge printed, audio and video materials about the trends in the development of the investment process and the stock market, participation in public consultations dedicated to such issues through its representatives;
• collection and maintenance of pools of information, organization of the use of Bulgarian and foreign information sources;
• use of information media in the country for the purpose of assisting and publicizing the activities of the Association and its members;
• cooperation with  experts on technical, scientific, economic, legal and other issues related to the activity of the Association;
• work for the establishment of contacts and cooperation with analogous foreign organizations;
• drafting and making proposals for the adoption by the members of the Association of a professional code of conduct of the investment intermediaries;  
• performance of other activities in accordance with the law that are related to the achievement of the goals of the Association set out in its Statute.
